Regional capital of the Mauricie, Trois-Rivières is the 2^nd oldest city in Canada .

A provincial meeting centre, Trois-Rivières enjoys the advantage of national recognition for its hosting of sporting events.

Many events have taken place in our sports facilities, including:

• the Centre de l'activité physique et sportive de l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (CAPS) [university sports centre]
• the Centre d'éducation physique et de sports du Cégep de Trois-Rivières (CEPS) [Cégep sports centre]
• the Alphonse-Desjardins sports center
