The objective of the Convention and Event Fund is to boost the economic benefits of business tourism by increasing the number of conventions and events held in Trois-Rivières.
- The event must generate a minimum of 50 overnight stays in hotels partnered with Innovation et Développement économique Trois-Rivières.
- The organizer must be holding a convention or event for the first time in Trois-Rivières or for the first time in at least five years.
- Financial assistance may be awarded to an event for two consecutive years or more provided the organization signed a contract for subsequent editions at the outset.
Details of financial assistance
50 overnight stays or more: $10 per night
The financial assistance is paid directly to the organization responsible for the event in the form of a cash grant. A cheque will be issued following the event upon proof of final payment to the hotelier and confirmation of the number of overnight stays.
